Children’s Day at the Japanese Garden

This annual event is lots of fun for both the children and our club members who spend the day folding origami koi and helping the children feed the koi. Joel R. is always fantastic at teaching the children how to fold the origami koi and Tom T. and Robert W. answers lots of questions on the koi and help Joel with making the koi origami.  Kate T. spends the day patiently handing out koi food to the children to feed the koi (occasionally with one or two children eating the koi food instead of giving it to the koi!) and trying to keep their little hands out of the water!

All of us that help at this event really enjoy the day and the children. We really appreciate and want to thank all of our club members that have helped at this event in the past!
